Many view iguanas as fascinating and exotic creatures, and may not immediately recognize the harm they cause. Unfortunately, iguanas are highly invasive, reproduce at alarming rates, and cause significant damage.

The harm they inflict is not only economic—resulting in costly property damage—but also environmental. Iguanas are having a dramatic and negative impact on Florida’s native species.

Many members of the IggyTrap team grew up enjoying the great outdoors of Florida. They love this state and all it offers. With years of experience in wildlife and outdoor environments, our team brings a deep understanding and respect for nature. We always strive to treat and handle iguanas as humanely and respectfully as possible. By doing so, we also show our respect for our customers and the communities we serve. We love what we do—protecting Florida’s environment!

Semi-Permanent Installation

IggyTrap was designed to be installed on a semi-permanent basis. With millions of iguanas in South Florida—and that number increasing exponentially each year—ongoing, 24/7 trapping is the only truly cost-effective solution.

We offer a variety of trap configurations to suit nearly any situation, ensuring flexible and efficient iguana control for long-term success.

Founded On Innovation

IggyTrap is a patented, modular design that allows for multiple configurations to capture iguanas while safely letting non-target animals escape. It's the most economical and effective solution for managing the growing iguana population.

Key Design and Testing

Developed by an FAU student, IggyTrap underwent extensive testing, including thousands of hours of video analysis of iguana behavior. Our trap was refined through multiple revisions to ensure its effectiveness and safety for non-target species.

Semi-Permanent Installation

Our trap is designed for semi-permanent installation, allowing for continuous, year-round iguana trapping. This approach prevents property damage by trapping iguanas before they can cause harm, minimizing disruptions during servicing.
