Homeowners: Protect Your Roof from Iguana Infestations

The pictures below are just a small example of what can happen to and in your roof. As the Iguana population continues to explode, the Iguanas are discovering that roofs offer the best shelter of anything available. As cold-blooded reptiles' roofs offer continual radiant heat as well as safety. The worst thing that can happen, as shown below, they'll mate, lay eggs (40-80), hatch and live in your attic until they're ready to venture out. Creating an enormous costly mess. Iguanas can easily crack roof tiles, penetrate the underlayment and gain access to the attic, or find their way in under the eaves, or vents. It is so important to be extremely proactive in dealing with this highly invasive species!

THIS IS THE LAST THING YOU EVERY WANT TO SEE ON YOUR HOME

These iguanas aren't sunbathing, this is where they're living! I knocked on their door. My guess is they are snowbirds and are going to come back to 1000s of dollars in UNINSURED damage. They need to set IggyTraps and wrap the trees with IggyWrap ASAP. Traps to catch the iguanas, wrap to prevent them from climbing back up, as they do have to come down to feed. Lastly, call a roofer and get the roof repaired. If they don't do anything the iguanas will continue to come back and break tiles to make their home.
