Welcome to IggyTrap! On behalf of our entire company, we are excited for you to be visiting and following along as we trailblaze into the future of invasive environmental solutions. For far too long, many issues regarding invasive species have been largely ignored. This has led to environmental imbalance, destruction of other animals’ natural habitats, and millions of dollars in infrastructure damages. Unfortunately, especially for South Floridians, this is no longer an issue that can be ignored- something must be done, and quickly.
IggyTrap has pioneered the most comprehensive solution to deal with one of the fastest growing invasive pests in Florida: Iguanas and Non-Native Lizards. These species, especially Green Iguanas, have thrived in South Florida’s tropical habitat. Due to their prolific breeding (comparable in numbers to the common rat, 25-75 eggs per animal with a 90% maturity rate), they have quickly taken over South Florida. They have no issue living in urban areas, and zero issue sharing property with South Florida Homeowners. Over the past few years, the problem has reached a tipping point- due to the mismanagement (or lack of any management), all properties have been left to fend for themselves.
Insert IggyTrap- Florida’s Iguana Solution. We have dedicated our mission to helping the citizens of the great State of Florida with this issue. Our patented trapping systems have the capability to trap dozens of lizards at a time, per unit. One of our trapping units does the work of up to 30 traditional nuisance cages. By utilizing the ecology and behaviors of the lizards to our advantage, we are able to make a bigger impact, faster and more efficiently for property owners. Speed, efficiency, and lasting results is the name of the game- and we’re re-writing the rules.
There are new issues arising daily due to Green Iguanas; Through our blog, we will be here to educate South Floridians every step of the way. We will be offering advice, tips, and what our boots on the ground are seeing every day. Stay tuned in with us and our team as we solve the most challenging environmental crises.
